IMPORTANT DETAILS REGARDING UNIFORMS

 

SENIORS SHIRTS

Senior students may wear the California Blue Polo Shirt or the White Oxford Shirt, whichever they prefer.  The Thomas Jefferson Academy logo should be embroidered on the right side of the shirt - not a patch. If the white oxford shirt is monogrammed, it can contain only their first initial and their last name (ex. J. Doe).  The monogramming should be in black, gray, or school blue and placed on the left side of the shirt.  A regular shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve) or long sleeve tshirt cannot be worn at any time over the uniform shirts.

 

6th - 11th GRADE SHIRTS

All students must wear the California Blue Polo Shirt everyday unless there is a specified dress down day.  The Thomas Jefferson Academy logo should be embroidered on the left side of the shirt - not a patch.  A regular shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve) or long sleeve tshirt cannot be worn at any time over the uniform shirts.

 

PANTS OR SHORTS

Pants and shorts must be "Dickie Style", flat panel front without pleats, and light gray. Sweatpants, leggings, jeggings, jeans, pants with elastic at the ankle, skinny jeans, or anthing that falls outside of the "Dickie style" mentioned earlier cannot be worn.  Pants may not be rolled at the cuff. 

 

SKIRTS

Girls may opt to wear the grey Thomas Jefferson pleated skirt available at the local uniform stores.  This is a particular style so please contact the office if you are unsure of the style.  Skirts must be no higher than 2" above the knee.

 

SHOES

Any color tennis shoes may be worn. They cannot be open toe, backless, crocs, slippers, "shrimp boots", or slip-ons.

 

HEADWEAR

A student will not wear a hat, cap, hair rollers, shower caps, or hooded garment to school.  

 

OUTWEAR

Students may wear Thomas Jefferson Sweatshirts or solid black sweatshirts over their Uniform Shirt.  HOODIES ARE NOT ALLOWED.  If a student wears a black sweatshirt, it cannot have writing or images on the sweatshirt.  Each class typically has their own sweatshirt design that is sold at the school in the fall.  If an extra layer is needed, the outerwear must be fully opened in the front.  The outerwear must have zippers, clamps, or buttons.
